22 December, 2015

Sunburn is synonymous with Goa and that is why Goa Tourism Development Corporation has entered into a partnership with the music festival of India. In its ninth year, with over 248 plus hours of non- stop music, 120 artists, Sunburn promises to rewrite the history of dance music. NT BUZZ finds out more about the partnership with Goa Tourism and highlights of the festival. The ninth edition of Sunburn culminates with grandeur in Goa, and embarks on a celebration of ten years of hosting Sunburn across India and around the world. This year the organisers of the music festival have tied up with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC). The festival catering to diverse genres of electronic dance music promises to redefine the dance music space this year with its lineup of top DJ’s, cashless experience for guests and elaborate security and safety arrangements.

Partnership with GTDC
With Sunburn entering into a strategic partnership with GTDC, the official ‘Goa Tourism’ logo will be carried on ground, on air, online, etc. Through this partnership Sunburn will promote Goa, officially, across India and the world through its various Sunburn events. Director, GTDC, Nikhil Dessai says: “Being associated with Sunburn will help us boost tourism and is a great marketing strategy where we will promote Goa and have presence at Sunburn events at zero cost.” He further stated that it made sense to tie up with Sunburn, as the music festival has global popularity across 50 countries. He said the popularity of Goa as a tourist destination has increased tremendously, thus being a win-win situation for organisers of the festival and the state in terms of boosting tourism.
