Sunburn 12 Bids Adieu To 2018 On A High Note With Performances By DJ Snake, DIVINE, Mercer, Krewella

Day 3 of the 12th edition of Asia’s biggest electronic music festival Sunburn was outstanding and precisely the way a finishing night should be. The music, the ambiance, the production, the festival goers everything fitted in seamlessly.
Wrapping up the weekend’s crème da le crème in dance music festivities, the annual music festival built up powerful momentum each and every day leading up to the extraordinary finale ushering in the optimism of the new year. Reigning in the world’s top artists from the homogenous electronic scene to an audience of indulgent attendees, Pune’s famed Oxford Valley by Shapoorji Pallonji was brimming with pure energy from start to finish.
The authentically fruitful year of the bucket list festival for every electronic dance music lover certainly solidified Sunburn’s stance in the global dance music community. Abundant cultures were represented in-house as fans proudly waved their respective flags under one tremendous roof. And for those who missed the action live, accessed the experience via Sunburn’s live stream, where they were able to catch not only the euphoria on stage but also highlights from the artist village backstage.
Garth Adams, Shaan, Ananya Birla, Ellie Prohan, Cosmos, DJ Akshay, DJ Omen, Aaryan Gala, TNO, XU, 18 East, Manav Mehta, KaRavan, ADGRMS, THE MXXNLIGHT, Abhishek Mantri, DJ Mady, Zephyrtone and DJ Hatcha churned out their grooviest tracks, upping the tempo at the year’s biggest new year eve’s revelry.
Sweeping the stage of the world’s largest music festival, Pakistan origin sister-duo Krewella infiltrated the festival tempo with nothing but widespread smiles, blissful dancing, high energy, and unforgettable memories to last a lifetime. Their set has their festival staples like “Alive”, “Play Hard”, “Killin' It”, “Come & Get It” and “ One Minute”
There is no one quite like DIVINE to get a crowd absolutely roaring from front to back and left to right. A show-stopping performance was created amidst red-hot fire, co2 gusts, and vibrant lasers. Throwing down his signature crowd control move supported by his crew of Gully Gang, the massive sea of supporters swayed from side to side and truly shook the very foundation of the enormous arena.
Mercer of Pardon My French collective presented some invigorating future house as a prelude to DJ Snake’s new year eve’s showcase.
Sound system up to max, lights on full blast and the headliner on the main stage DJ Snake kicked things off for the closing set and had the festival goers in full fist-pumping euphoria. What followed was a relentless, sensory assault for the next hour. Big track after big track, Builds, drops and riffs set to synchronised lasers, hints of past hits emerging then disappearing into the next before returning in full voice later in the set.  Greeting the fans with 'Namaste', getting onto the console to wave the Indian flag and ending the set with 'Shukriya' -- that's how the upscale French music producer charmed the Indian music lovers apart from dishing out his commercial bangers like “Taki Taki”, “ Turn Down for What” , “ Middle” , “Lean On”, “Magenta Riddim”, “Let Me Love You” , “A Different Way” amongst others.
Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn Global said, “Sunburn 12 was truly historical in every aspect. The camping site has been a huge hit amongst the festival goers apart from the sponsor experiences. The event witnessed a colossal turnout with some of the biggest headliners, top of the line security measures and world class production and design inspite of facing some preliminary glitches. The event was streamed live and watched by millions of fans across the globe with on-ground 5 lac fan participation from more than 40 countries over 3 days. Our live streaming allowed more than 5 million fans from different parts of the world to experience Sunburn without being physically present. Without the continuous support from the fans and the government we wouldn’t have reached this milestone today. The locals of Pune have benefitted greatly right from transportation to F&B. A special thanks to the Maharashtra Government and associated partners without which Sunburn 2018 wouldn't be rated amongst the top players in the world.”
Now that the new year has ushered upon us, India as a whole can take another look back at the paradise that exists on the dancefloor, and the wondrous global movement that electronic music has become. Sunburn seems to have raised the benchmark for festival organization in India and lived up to its expectation of being the electronic music mecca in India.  It is events like this when people from all over the world congregate in complete unison, that we see the infinite power and strength music strikes within the world. Until then, we can’t wait to celebrate again next year!
