Viagogo renews partnership with Sunburn Goa

Building on its partnership in 2013, Viagogo, a platform for secondary ticketing, has extended its relationship with Sunburn Goa into 2014 by renewing the partnership. Viagogo will continue to be Sunburn Goa’s official ticket marketplace and international ticket sales partner for another season with an aim to service overseas fans in particular. Last year, the festival attracted its largest crowd yet, with more than 100,000 people in attendance and a further 18 million people worldwide reached through live feeds and social networking sites. Mr. Karan Singh, CEO of Sunburn and Percept Live, said: “In 2013, with viagogo’s support, we attracted new fans from as far afield as the UK, the US, Russia and Israel. We’re proud to extend our partnership with viagogo as we continue our growth internationally and look to reach fans in even more new markets in 2014.” A viagogo spokesperson added: “viagogo is all about enabling fans to buy any ticket, for any event, anywhere in the world and, thanks to viagogo, all global events are now local. Sunburn plans to create Guinness world record

Sunburn, an electronic dance music brand and a property of Percept Live, will attempt to create a Guinness World Record of the 'Largest Human Logo Formation'. With the biggest artists in the world, Sunburn has been asking its audience, largely comprising youth, to do something for the society, to make a difference with its 'Sunburners for Change'. At Sunburn Goa 2014, 50,000 Sunburners would congregate on the grounds of the Vagator beach, to attempt to create the Sunburn logo as one unified force. The entry to the activity is free. The early evening event will last approximately 45 minutes, with top dance music artists taking centre stage with full-scale production. The Guinness Book of World Records has noted that the last logo was made in Lisbon, Portugal by 34,309 people to create the Portugese Logo for Euro 2004. The true inspiration behind all the efforts, however, is something more meaningful than just getting together as a logo. Proceeds from this activity would go to prominent charitable organisations that relentlessly work to support and improve the lifestyle of poor and deserving children and youth, the company said in a statement.
Percept consolidates marcom business; Shiv Sethuraman is CEO of 'Percept One'

Previously, the marcom business comprised three separate verticals namely creative, media and other services. Percept has restructured and consolidated the manifold Marketing Communications Services into a single business entity 'Percept One' (it has revenues of Rs 125 crore) from this month. Previously, the Marketing Communications Services business of Percept spanned three separate verticals - creative services, media services and other services. Former CEO of TBWA, Shiv Sethuraman has been appointed chief executive officer, Percept One, with effect from July 14, 2014. He will be responsible for leading business development and Integration of all marcom services, creating opportunities for synergy within and across the marcom businesses of the Group, attaining profitability and revenue growth while drawing up the roadmap for the overall marcom business of the Percept Group. He has a mandate of driving a 30 per cent year-on-year growth with a target of achieving revenues of Rs 275 crore by 2017. "With Percept One," says Sethuraman, "we are bringing together successful individual businesses to create an integrated entity. The mandate and the challenge is to use this size (700 people and Rs 125 crore in revenues) and scale to propel us to a faster growth trajectory." Welcoming Sethuraman to Percept, Ajay Upadhyay, director, Percept states, "His global leadership experience and brand experience will help us achieve the scale and growth targets we have set for ourselves." Sethuraman has had a two-decade-long career in the media and communications domain. He has handled dynamic portfolios spanning global brand development and business acquisition. At TBWA, Sethuraman personally led the Nissan, adidas and infrastructure and realty cluster within the agency. Having kickstarted his advertising career with Ogilvy, he cut his teeth on many of the key clients of the agency such as Cadbury, Castrol Unilever and Shell. He moved to Ogilvy, Paris in 2001 as global business director and later became managing director, Ogilvy & Mather, Paris where he acquired large global and regional accounts such as Louis Vuitton, Coca-Cola Europe and Europcar and also managed several businesses including IBM, Unilever and Nestle.
