Sunburn music fest in Goa expecting 1.4 lakh footfall
19 December, 2013

Organisers of Sunburn festival are expecting 1.4 lakh music revelers to participate in this year's edition of the music event which would be held at Vagator, a beach village in North Goa.  "The response for the festival has been sky rocketing since its inception in 2007. We started with a humble hosting of 10,000 people. Over the period the popularity of the festival is soaring," said Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept Limited, an event management company organizing the festival. "This year, we expect a footfall of 1.4 lakh for all the three days of the festival," he added.  The festival will be held between December 27-29. Singh said that the festival would be ten times bigger than the last year after it is shifted to Vagator, a bigger place compared to Candolim, where it was traditionally held for several years. "We will have the biggest stage of Asia. The music lovers from 36 countries have confirmed their participation for the event. Sunburn 2013 will be bigger and better. We are learning from the experience how to make it the world's best festival," he said.  Singh said that the security has been given topmost priority for the festival, while all measures are in place to ensure that the event is drug-free. The festival will see seven massive stages, 120 international artists, over 200 hours of electrifying music and global star headliners like Afrojack, Axewell and Markus Schulz, he said.  The entire line up of the performers will soon be released formally for the music lovers.
