Live, Love and Dance at Sunburn 28 December, 2014
The most awaited music festival, Sunburn Goa 2014 has arrived. This year there will be 204 hours of non-stop music and 150 artists performing across eight stages. It rewrites the history of Dance Music on the 200 feet+ main stage – Dance Temple, offering the biggest ever stage experience in Asia. Staying true to its promise of redefining the Dance Music space, Sunburn has definitely grown in magnitude over all these years. Sunburn 2014 is the eighth edition and the concluding festival after having organised 21 Sunburn events this year across 78 cities in the country. The inceptor of Sunburn, Shailendra Singh said, “Sunburn in Goa brings us to a very emotional end after hosting Sunburn music festivals all around the country. India, which has the youngest population, enjoys the energy that comes alive during such music festivals and wants to be given that cool quotient.” Though this years’ season has witnessed a drop in tourists visiting the state, over the next few days Goa will be buzzing as all roads lead to Vagator. Managing director and promoter of Percept Group, Harinder Singh, says he was surprised to see the number of tourists increasing in a day as compared to the scenario over the past few days. He said, “Sunburn is for the fans, by the fans and for the fans. We believe that Sunburn today has become one of the biggest youth connecting platforms across Asia.” He credits it all to the superior international artist line up and great experience provided to fans. However, Sunburn this year is not just about music as 50 percent of the festival is dedicated to lifestyle and loads of entertainment. The iconic Cubezoid Stage that has been popular for the last four editions will also be there this year, providing a multi-sensory experience that combines world-class LED lighting with a high-octane fusion of space and sound. The festival will also offer a host of other activities like stunt-biking, zorbing, volleyball, 12-second ice bucket challenge, gyroscope and bungee jumping, providing for a 360-degree sonic experience. Sunburn Season 8 will have the largest artist village in Asia for people to get a peek of their favourite headliners, elaborate food courts with multiple cuisines, sumptuous Sunburn Cruises, bigger after parties, open-air movie theatre and a bigger flea market. This year, Sunburn will also provide exclusive packages for Sunburn at Sea where fans can rent a boat and go into the ocean and Sunburn at Air which gives an aerial view of the big party happening from a helicopter ride or from a hot air balloon. This year the organisers expect the number of music lovers coming to the festival to increase as the festival, they say, only gets bigger and better with each passing year.
