The bustling city of Pune witnessed a congregation reluctant to bid farewell to their innermost music demons on Day 2 of Asia's biggest electronic music festival Sunburn as the skyline came alive with incredible pyro techniques at the 12th edition of Sunburn at Oxford Valley by Shapoorji Pallonji.

Making headlines all across the world for his energetic dance routines at Tomorrowland, Bosnian artist Salvatore Ganacci was seen making larger than life movements during his weekend set. Now becoming one of the most trending names in the electronic scene, his over the top animated set comprising of "Flags", "Call On Me" , "Opus" , "One Love" amongst others coupled with dramatic antics behind the decks reminded us that he is the performance artist dance music needs right now.
Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker proved that he is a true force to be reckoned with within the contemporary electronic music scene. The introduction to his set was "The Spectre," followed by a remix of Sia's "Move Your Body" and "Sheep" by Chinese musician Lay. "Alone" had strong melodies and atmospheric vocals. He closed his versatile set with his international hit "Faded," where he left the main stage crowd thirsty for more. He put on a high-energy vivacious set that was comprised of a neat balance of upbeat tracks and slower ballads with a focus on melodies, which was a harbinger of bigger and better things to come, as Walker is poised for superstardom.
As fireworks lit up the arena and booming sound blared from the speakers, Dutch trance virtuoso and pne of dance music's busiest DJ's, Armin van Buuren took to the stage for an unforgettable set. Tracks like "Blah Blah Blah", "The Last Dancer", "Just As You Are", "Popcorn", "Sex, Love & Water", "Our Origin", "Wild Wild Son" and "Ready To Rave" had the entire arena exploding with sound and energy alongside fans with permanent smiles spread across their faces. Known for his emotive sets, he performed "This Is What It Feels Like" dedicated to his son and also dropped "Barso" remix by Ritviz. The soul-steering performance by the Armada bossman was one of such epic proportions that it made you stand there in a few moments of honest bliss, remembering why you fell in love with dance music in the first place.
The world's finest electronic artists performed alongside their Indian counterparts to give Pune's music fans the spiritual music experience they deserved. Trance, drum & bass, house, techno, hip-hop, dubstep, big room - the second day covered all these genres and more, unifying the crowds that gathered to celebrate music, unity, passion, love and all things life.
Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn Global said, "Today we saw a 10% increase in turnout from Day 1 and expect a further 15% increase on Day 3 as we have been able to deliver an improvised experience to our festival goers. We've built our festival step by step over the last 12 years, from 5,000 people in the first year to the global movement it has shaped up into today. It's our life's work, which we are very proud of and want to keep on building for the next decades and generations. Two of the most important ingredients in everything we've done since day one are passion and dedication to create the ultimate experience in every aspect of the festival. Creating Sunburn is not a task for us - it's really what we breath every day. Although we've become a much bigger and more professional organization, I can still feel the exact same energy that we began with today, which is essential to keep exceeding expectations year after year!"
Grooving throngs of passionate fans danced together with a promise in their eye that they would be back tomorrow to lose themselves under the Pune sky as the festival kicks into higher gear tomorrow.
