Percept ICE Elevates Goa Carnaval 2026 into a World-Class Experiential Travelling Celebration of Culture & Scale
13 May, 2026

In a spectacular showcase of scale, storytelling, and seamless execution, Percept ICE, the Experiential Marketing, Event Management, Exhibitions & Brand Activations domain company of Percept Limited, transformed Goa Carnaval 2026 into a breath-taking, state-wide celebration that unfolded like a moving masterpiece across Goa, captivating over three lakh people from 13–17 February, 2026.

Reimagining India’s most iconic pre-Lenten festival, Goa Carnaval 2026, also celebrated as Viva Carnival, evolved into a far more immersive and expansive experience under the creative and operational leadership of Percept ICE. No longer confined to a single venue or moment, the Carnaval became a living, travelling spectacle across Porvorim, Panjim, Margao, Vasco, Mapusa, and Morjim, seamlessly blending its 18th-century Portuguese legacy with the rhythm, colour, and soul of Goa. From the thunder of live bands and the shimmer of larger-than-life 3D floats to the energy of cheering crowds, the celebration delivered scale, emotion, and cultural pride in equal measure, led by the symbolic monarch King Momo, whose royal decree marked the beginning of the festivities.

The celebration unfolded as a powerful, state-wide narrative, opening in Porvorim with a high-energy curtain raiser, surging into Panjim for the grand parade along the Mandovi River from New Patto Bridge to Campal Ground, moving into Margao’s culturally rich showcase, transitioning to Vasco’s community-driven celebration, and culminating in simultaneous high-energy finales across Mapusa and Morjim.

At the heart of this transformation was Percept ICE’s end-to-end orchestration, from conceptualization, permissions, and float and artist on-boarding to infrastructure setup and synchronized multi-city execution. Managing a moving parade of this scale, the team coordinated extensively with local clubs and artists to deliver floats that met both technical and creative benchmarks, while executing large-scale venue infrastructure in Panjim including the main stage, VVIP, VIP, Media, Specially Abled and tourist viewing decks, watch towers, media platforms, barricading, and public utility systems, ensuring seamless show flow and audience comfort at massive scale.

Beyond the parade routes, entire cityscapes were transformed into immersive celebration corridors through circle installations, road branding, bunting, pole branding, running lights, and large-format décor, extending the Carnaval experience across the urban fabric of Goa. A cohesive 360° brand language unified every touchpoint, from float graphics and barricades to volunteer uniforms, merchandise, and digital creatives, elevating the festival into a premium, globally resonant property.

Carnaval 2026 also extended beyond the streets through real-time digital amplification and aerial drone cinematography, positioning Goa as a globally visible cultural destination. With over three lakh attendees across five days, safety and logistics were executed with precision in close coordination with Goa Police, deploying structured crowd movement systems, controlled access points, watch towers, and comprehensive barricading plans, alongside sustainability measures including waste segregation & rapid post-event clean-ups.

At the centre of the spectacle, the King Momo float emerged as a commanding visual centrepiece with bold 3D elements, dynamic lighting, and live band performances on the move, while the Police float, curated in collaboration with Goa Police, integrated public safety and civic awareness messaging into the celebratory narrative.

Percept ICE also managed end-to-end artist and talent coordination across cities, spanning King Momo, Carnival Queens, dancers, live bands, and performance troupes, covering onboarding, rehearsals, choreography alignment, costume coordination, logistics, hospitality, and scheduling, ensuring consistency and energy throughout five consecutive days. Extending audience engagement further, official Carnival merchandise including paper caps, eye masks, branded caps, and T-shirts added a participatory dimension while enhancing recall across key zones.

The grand flag-off ceremony was graced by Pramod Sawant – Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa; Rohan A. Khaunte – Hon. Minister for Tourism; Atanasio Monserrate – Hon. Minister for Labour, Revenue & Waste Management; Kedar J. Naik – Chairman, GTDC & MLA; Shri. Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS – Secretary (Tourism); Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS – Chief Secretary, Government of Goa; Shri. Rohit Monserrate – Mayor, CCP; Shri. Kedar Naik – Director of Tourism; and Shri. Kuldeep Arolkar – Managing Director, GTDC, reinforcing the importance of Goa Carnaval as a flagship tourism and cultural property of the state.

Goa Carnaval 2026 was not merely executed; it was reimagined. And at the centre of it all stood Percept ICE, quietly powering the spectacle, seamlessly connecting its many moving parts, and ultimately transforming a beloved tradition into a larger-than-life, world-class experiential phenomenon that travelled across an entire state and into the imagination of every person who witnessed it.
